About

Binyu Lin (b. 1999, Shenzhen, China) is an image-based artist working with photography and digital media. He graduated with a Master of Arts in Photography from the École cantonale d’art de Lausanne (ECAL) in 2026.

Drawing on his experiences as a queer migrant, he examines how screen-based experiences transcend physical distance, while the circulation of consumer imagery mobilises both the body and the mind in continuous labour. His practice explores the fatigue and melancholy that emerge from these processes, tracing how digital images shape lived experience, desire, and the relationship between physical presence and mediated reality.
